Senkouji Onomichi

Perched at an elevation of 144 meters, this temple offers panoramic views of Onomichi’s charming townscape and the Seto Inland Sea. The scenery from here is breathtaking no matter when you visit! The nearby Cat Alley feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli world. The observation deck "PEAK," renovated in 2022, is also strikingly cool in design!
尾道ラーメン しょうや(尾道)

When you think of Onomichi, you think of Onomichi ramen! For a bold and flavorful bowl, “Onomichi Ramen Shoya” is the place to go. Their soup is built on a rich soy sauce base made from a carefully aged and blended tare that has been perfected since the shop’s founding. Smooth, house-made noodles and tender, slow-simmered chashu complete the bowl. And don’t miss the fried rice—it’s surprisingly delicious and pairs perfectly with the ramen. A must-try set!
USHIO CHOCOLATL(Mukaishima)

In addition to their pure chocolate made with just cacao beans and sugar, this workshop creates unique, original chocolates by pairing cacao with carefully selected local ingredients that the owner personally sources and learns about. Shiratakiyama Observatory (Innoshima)

You can ride your scooter close to the top, then take a short walk to reach the summit. From there, the view is absolutely breathtaking! The Seto Inland Sea and surrounding islands stretch out before you in a stunning panorama. Along the way, you can also see around 700 Rakan statues, each with its own unique expression, making the hike a cultural experience as well as a scenic one.
Lemon Valley (Ikuchijima)

A must-visit spot on Ikuchijima, known as the “Island of Lemons.” With an annual production of about 900 tons, it’s Japan’s top lemon-producing area. Each season offers a different view of Lemon Valley, making every visit unique. Don’t miss the breathtaking shot of Tatara Bridge with the lemon groves in the foreground. Surrounded by the refreshing scent of lemons, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a scenic scooter ride.
Oyamazumi Shrine (Omishima)

This sacred shrine is dedicated to Ōyamazumi-no-Kami, the brother of the sun goddess Amaterasu. Nestled within Japan’s oldest camphor forest, the heart of Oyamazumi Shrine is home to a giant camphor tree said to be over 2,600 years old — a nationally designated natural monument.Legend says that if you walk around this sacred tree three times while holding your breath, your wish will come true. Give it a try during your visit!
