Departs from Imabari at 6:00 am. First, aim for this!
Tour the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, the longest bridge on the Shimanami Kaido, bathed in the morning sun. Then, view the road you traveled from Kirosan Observatory Park, 301.1 meters above sea level. This is a spectacular view and experience that can only be experienced by setting off on the Shimanami Kaido early in the morning!

Let's go back a little to the "island that can only be reached by motorcycle or on foot." Take the elevator down to Umashima island with your scooter. What's a rare experience!
This natural tunnel was created by the force of the waves carving out the rocks, and is a tourist spot that can only be passed through at low tide! Once you pass through, you can see the powerful tidal currents.
Oyamazumi Shrine

This shrine enshrines Oyamazumi-no-Mikoto, the brother of Amaterasu Omikami. In the center of Oyamazumi Shrine, which is covered by Japan's oldest primeval forest, the camphor tree, sits a 2,600-year-old camphor tree that has been designated a national natural monument! It is said that if you hold your breath and walk around the camphor tree three times, your wish will come true. Why not give it a try?
