Kirosan Observation Park
(Oshima)
Kirosan Observation Park, located at an elevation of 301.1m, is located on the southern tip of Oshima Island and is designated as part of the Setonaikai National Park. From the panoramic observation bridge known for its design by Kengo Kuma, you can see the world's first triple suspension bridge, the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, the tidal currents of the Kurushima Kaikyo Strait, one of Japan's three strongest currents, and, on clear days, Mount Ishizuchi, the highest peak in western Japan.
Kaizan Park

In spring, about 1,000 cherry trees bloom in profusion, and from the observation deck at the top you can get a panoramic view of the Hakata-Oshima Bridge, Omishima Bridge, and Tatara Bridge. In addition to the cherry blossoms, there are also azaleas, so you can enjoy the changing scenery throughout the seasons. The park also has playground equipment such as a 36-meter slide and jungle gym.
Sasage Island

Located on the eastern coast of Hakata Island, this small uninhabited island is connected by a sand pathway that appears only at low tide, creating a stunning tombolo phenomenon. Known as a fleeting “Angel Road”, the scene becomes even more magical under the soft glow of sunrise or sunset. A hidden gem perfect for a spontaneous stop on your scooter adventure.
